Super bowls 2019 is around the corner. Within a few months, the most popular NFL event will hold in Atlanta Georgia. There are many side attractions. It is not only the wonderful performance of football teams that made spectators remained hooked in their seats; it is the halftime performance. This aspect of the event is thrilling and many people even prefer it to the main event of the day, which is the super bowls competition.

Fans wait eagerly for the event and many of them are seriously speculating on who would make it to the halftime show. If you check the internet, you discover that voting is ongoing as to which of the stars fans want to become part of the NFL event.

Several celebrities’ fans are launching serious online campaign to make their master feature in the halftime. Those who make such support always have wonderful reasons for supporting such a celebrity. It appears that event organizers consider these petitions before they make a final selection as to which of the stars will become part of that event.

Already several celebrities, performers, and musicians of note are mentioned as the possible halftime time performers. The final choice as to which celebrity to perform at halftime is always made by the organizers of the event.

The event will hold on February 3rd 2019 and it will hold at the popular Mercedes Benz Stadium, which is located in Atlanta. Several Kelly Clarkson supporters are mounting campaign to have him perform at halftime. They want the original America Idol album played live at the event.

Plenty of performers are being campaigned for by their fans. Some of the performers that could make it to the event include Rihanna, Pink, BTS, Jenifer Lopez, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, as well as Ariana Grande. The numbers are many. The most popular if the online vote is to count in making the final choice is the K-Pop boy.

The fact remains that there are hundreds of performers and artists who are supposed to make it to that event by holding in the Mercedes Benz Stadium. Many people believe that it would be an opportunity for Taylor Swifts to shine. Some stars who are serious about staging a comeback will like to be given a chance to prove their worth again. People believe that stars like Janet Jackson want to bounce back.

Many Americans are also calling for rappers like Drake of Jay-Z to become part of the halftime show. Many fans who want to spend the evening dancing will prefer the presence of Jenifer Lopez and Rhinna. These people will heat up the venue, because of the wonderful dance. The number of suggestions is a clear indicator that many people are ready for the event. Good performers will like to be given the opportunity to show case themselves. Before the event begins proper, the list will be ready and this could reduce the tension as to who would perform or not. The truth is that many performers and artists are good for the event.

This Saturday, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2; 39 KO) once again steps in to the ring to take on Adrien Broner (33-3-1; 24 KO). The fight is for Pacquiao’s WBA Welterweight title. Ring Magazine has Pacquiao at #5 in the division with Broner unranked. The fight takes place this Saturday, January 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and airs live on PPV at a cost of $75 with a fight time of 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT.

How do these two stack up?

Pacquiao: 40 years old | 5’5” | 67” reach | southpaw stance
Broner: 29 years old | 5’6” | 69” reach | orthodox stance

What have these two done recently?

Pacquiao: W – Lucas Matthysse (TKO) | L – Jeff Horn (UD) | W – Jessie Vargas (UD)
Broner: D – Jessie Vargas (MD) | L – Mikey Garcia (UD) | W – Adrian Granados (SD)

Legendary eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) returns to the ring for a showdown against former multi-division world champ Adrien Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs). At stake is Pacquiao’s WBA “regular” welterweight title, which to be perfectly honest with you, isn’t worth a salt. Pacquiao is coming off a TKO win vs. Lucas Matthysse back in July, his first stoppage win in over a decade. Broner, one of the more controversial figures in the sport, fought to a draw with Jessie Vargas last year, but this is a chance for him to get a major win on his resumse, even if it’s a 40-year-old Pacquiao.

How did these two get here?

Surely if you are reading this you know Manny Pacquiao and the broad strokes of his Hall of Fame caliber career. So let’s focus on the recent activity. For Pacquiao, things have looked a little spotty ever since 2012. That’s the year he “lost” a terrible decision to Timothy Bradley, then was knocked cold by Juan Manual Marquez. He came back, then in 2015 lost the fight of the modern era to Floyd Mayweather, and in doing so, somewhat cemented himself as the era’s #2. He’s 3-1 since, but it’s a bumpy 3-1. He became a senator, left HBO, “retired”, and seemed to be heading for the fringes of the sport. That perception was helped by his somewhat controversial 2017 loss to Jeff Horn. But then this past July, he looked great against Lucas Matthysse, scoring his first stoppage win in almost nine years, and slowing down any retirement talk considerably.

Having done pressers in Los Angeles and New York when the fight was announced, we have reached fight week, which means one more media session. You can watch the video of today’s Pacquiao vs. Broner press conference (Wednesday, January 16th) from Los Angeles at the top of the page at 3:30 PM ET/12:30 PM PT.

If you could roll all the way back to 2013 and look at Adrien Broner, you would see a raw, but hyped up and undefeated talent who loudly proclaimed himself the best in the world. He wasn’t, and everyone knew that, but there was an interesting question about just how good he could be. Then he got beaten, and frankly embarrassed, by Marcos Maidana, and the bubble permanently burst. He’s 6-2-1 since, which is not terrible, but there’s no one in there I would call an unequivocally really strong win. He’s also of course dealt with all kinds of legal troubles for various charges and generally looked ready to completely fall off the rails at times. And yet, he’ll still tell you he’s the greatest if you’ll listen. This would be a massive feather in his cap if he pulled off the win.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner takes place on Saturday, January 19th in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a Showtime PPV start time of 9 PM ET/6 PM PT. Bloody Elbow will have play-by-play, results, and highlights on fight night for the main event

What else is on the card?

Take a look at our separate preview of the other three fights on the PPV, which are not bad and certainly worth tuning in early for if you’re planning to watch.

What can fans expect?

Pacquiao is 11 years Broner’s senior, and already fighting Oscar De La Hoya by the time Broner made his debut. And yet, somehow, it’s Broner who seems to be the more shot fighter, as he has not seemed mentally all the way in the game for a long time. As I said above, Pacquiao looked good in his last fight. Certainly not in his prime, but the closest to it in awhile. That should give him the advantage in speed, in power, and clearly in ring smarts. Look for him to take a few rounds to slow Broner down, then really take over by about the 4th. Like against Matthysse, a late TKO is certainly possible here, though Broner, for all his faults, is a durable fighter who has never been stopped. But I see Broner getting frustrated as this fight goes on and getting schooled in the latter half.
Prediction: Manny Pacquiao, UD

Should you watch?

Look, it’s $75. And part of your $75 will go to the notoriously terrible human being Broner. And part will go to the also dubiously moral Pacquiao. And for that, you will probably get an entertaining fight, because at the end of the day, these two probably do match up pretty well from an entertainment standpoint. That’s the deal – what you do with your money now is up to you.
